Helene began this firm in 2003, after twelve years in the public accounting field. Her drive for personal and professional growth and the ability to focus more attention on her growing family, as well as the ability to use her knowledge to help others with their businesses so they could also focus more on their families, was a huge part of starting this firm. This ideal has been achieved with great success! The only advertising to date that has ever been done to build the client base was in 2003 and early 2004 to start up the firm. Bonnie Barna joined the firm as a senior level accountant in July 2009, after many years of public, private, and governmental accounting work. The firm also utilizes part-time employees to assist with administrative, tax return preparation, and paraprofessional functions to keep up with the workload, if needed.

Helene's husband, Steve A. Rinner helps the firm out, especially during busy season, with administrative functions. He has his own business as well, which keeps him very busy, but if help is needed, and he has the time, his administrative skills are utilized to prepare mailings and assemble items for clients to pick up, or answer the phone, etc. His business office is also located within the office of Ellis-Rinner, CPA, Ltd. Helene and Steve are both lifelong residents of Norwalk, and Norwalk High School graduates. Helene is also a Magna Cum Laude graduate of Tiffin University with a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration (major in Accounting). They have 3 children. Steve owns and operates GLH Home Inspections, Ltd. They support the community by involving themselves with the public and parochial schools, the Norwalk Area Chamber of Commerce, various civic organization activities, and organized activities of the Norwalk Rec Center. Helene's professional organization memberships consist of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Ohio Society of Certified Public Accountants (OSCPA).

Bonnie is a lifelong resident of the Norwalk area, graduating from Norwalk St. Paul High School. She received her Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from Tiffin University, majoring in Accounting. She has worked in the accounting field for over 20 years, 9 years in public accounting and 7 years in governmental accounting. She and husband Dick have 3 children, 2 grown sons and a daughter who attends St. Paul High. They support the local community through the parochial school and parish and also through the public school system. They have been active in the Norwalk Park and Rec Center, the Norwalk Jaycees and many other local and national civic organizations.
